Am I Pregnant?

If you had a positive home pregnancy test or are experiencing common symptoms of pregnancy, you may be asking yourself now, “Am I pregnant?”

Do any of these experiences sound familiar?

  • I’ve missed a period
  • I feel like throwing up sometimes
  • My breasts feel tender
  • I have to pee more often
  • I’m more tired than usual
  • I’m having mood swings

Although not everyone experiences these signs, the symptoms above are commonly associated with early pregnancy.1 Most tests you buy are reliable, but only a physician or other appropriate healthcare professional can confirm that you are pregnant.

NEED AN ULTRASOUND?

The Bakersfield Pregnancy Center can provide Limited First Trimester Obstetrical Ultrasounds to our established clients. Following a positive pregnancy test, clients may be eligible for an ultrasound if they are between 7-14 weeks gestation. This exam provides dating, verification of uterine pregnancy and fetal heartbeat. Our Ultrasound exams will not determine gender of the baby.

If you are not already under a doctor’s care for this pregnancy, please do not delay in receiving medical pre-natal care. Receiving proper pre-natal care is important for a healthy pregnancy and delivery. We will not be able to perform an ultrasound on any client who is actively receiving medical care for the pregnancy or who is beyond 14 weeks gestation. Ultrasound exams are always performed at the discretion of a BPC Registered Nurse.
